Adam Lamoureux
Adam Lamoureux is a Canadian-Born tenor saxophonist based in New York City pursuing his Bachelors of Music Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. Adam has won multiple
awards including the Rico Golden Reed Award, the Aussie Carter “Jazzman” award, and the Leo Ursini Memorial Scholarship award. In 2019, he attended the Jazz at Lincoln Center Summer Jazz Workshop and the NYU Summer Improvisation Workshop. In 2022, Adam was selected for the
prestigious Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy with the band “Intermittence.” Raised in London Ontario, Canada, Lamoureux fell in love with improvised music at a young age. He quickly
established himself in his local scene at 13 and has been performing professionally ever since. Now residing in New York City, Adam has performed at Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola and Williamsburg Music Center to name a few. He has been fortunate to study under the likes of Jaleel Shaw, Donny McCaslin, and Buster Williams while integrating himself into New York’s vivid scene where his voice has been quickly emerging. Adam is currently working on new music reflective of
the times we live in today to create an uplifting and introspective experience for his audiences.
