Alex Frondelli is a prolific musician based out of Long Island, New York. He began playing drums at the age of ten and began to pursue the guitar seriously in high school. Under the direction of music educator Bill Katz and guitarist Steve Salerno, he grew to love improvised music and made it his main focus. Upon entering the SUNY Purchase Conservatory, his teachers have included Vic Juris, Jon Faddis, John Riley, Ralph Lalama and Gary Smulyan. He then received his M.A from the University of North Texas where he studied with Davy Mooney, and was a part of the One O' Clock Lab Band. He has performed as a leader with his own group at venues such as Birdland Jazz Club, Smalls, Tomi Jazz and Club Bonafide, among many others. He is the guitarist of funk group "BOMZER" as well as the math rock duo "You're Mom".
