Anya Marina
ANYA MARINA is a provocative and gifted live performer, sharing stages with such artists as Jason Mraz, Spoon, Joshua Radin, Eric Hutchinson, Chris Isaak, Paolo Nutini, The Virgins, Greg Laswell, Jenny Owen Youngs, Steve Poltz, Dandy Warhols, Tristan Prettyman, and most currently, opening for comedian Nikki Glaser in theaters across the U.S.
Marina is also a prolific songwriter, perhaps best known for “Satellite Heart,” from the platinum-selling soundtrack to Twilight: New Moon, and her provocative cover of T.I.’s “Whatever You Like” (6 million YouTube views and counting). Marina’s songs have been featured in national ad campaigns and influential TV series (13 Reasons Why, Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl), remixed by Interpol’s Sam Fogarino, and called “a mixture of Liz Phair sex appeal with a dash of [Carl] Jung” by Rolling Stone.
After releasing two critically acclaimed albums (Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II and Felony Flats) and an EP (Spirit School) on Chop Shop/Atlantic, Marina independently released Paper Plane and EPs Serious Love, and Over You - the lead single from which was featured in the award-winning web series Anya Marina: Indie-pendent Woman. Anya's full length album, Queen of the Night, was released in 2020 and her Live & Alone in New York album, recorded live over two nights at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, came out in 2021.
Matt Pond PA
After two decades of successfully pursuing simple truths in popular music, Matt Pond has recently begun to take on projects that stretch beyond the conventional trajectory of independent rock and roll. Other projects explore artist relationships over mediums and miles, where the aural meets the visual and beyond. He currently resides in Kingston, New York, and pays strict attention to the arc of every season.
Thirteen albums, countless singles and EPs — and, yet, there’s no end to the search.
Chris Hansen graduated from the Mannes School of Music and began his career as a manager and engineer at the legendary Bearsville Studios, near Woodstock, New York. He continues a long collaboration with Matt as a multi-instrumentalist and co-producer of numerous Matt Pond PA albums and EPs. He has scored and continues to compose music for film, television and mostly, himself.
Together, they continue to write in the living room, stomping on the floor with the dogs running wild; a pack of domesticated coyotes streaking past the amps, through the kitchen, the back porch, into the yard, their own cedar-fenced kingdom.
