APLO

APLO (pronounced Ah-pol-lo) is a vibe & groove band based out of New York, releasing music through a vintage and perfectionist lens; enchanting any listener to let go of all negativity and exist free of any inhibitions. Members TJ McMaster, Ethan Famodu and Lowell Chamberlain met at college where they started the band at an impromptu jam session. They would be later joined by Billy Buono, June Greenwell, Luke Monaghan, Tim Warner and Brandon Vassallo. Taking influence from city pop, motown, soul, funk, indie pop, dream pop and yacht rock, the band has been compared to the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, the Free Nationals, and the Bee Gees. The group also draws influence from the philosophies of Vulfpeck, vibe of Mac Demarco, and both the groove and perfectionism of Steely Dan.
