As of June 16, 2021, New York State has lifted all COVID-19 related restrictions that apply to a venue of Rockwood’s size. In accordance with these revised guidelines, vaccination records will no longer be checked and entry will be permitted for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. Social distancing and masks will not be required, although masks will remain recommended for non-vaccinated individuals.
Arianna Neikrug
Arianna Neikrug, winner of the 2015 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition (the "Sassy" Awards), is a NYC-based and LA-bred jazz/pop vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and Concord Jazz recording artist. Downbeat Magazine says, “Neikrug sings beyond her years, and while her technique and flexibility are striking, it’s her soulfulness that startles and lingers.” A graduate of the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami under the direction of Dr. Kate Reid, Arianna has a voice that cuts right to the heart. She has shared the stage with various artists including George Coleman, Steve Miller, Alice Cooper, Kenny Burrell, Neil Young, Al Jarreau, Mindy Abair, James Moody, George Benson, Karrin Allyson, Gretchen Parlato, and Roseanna Vitro, and she has performed at and continues to headline some of the hottest jazz clubs in the US, including Birdland and Jazz Standard in NYC, and SF Jazz and Yoshi’s in San Francisco. She also traveled with her group to Montreal, Canada to perform at the 2016 International Montreal Jazz Festival alongside some of the most renowned jazz artists. Arianna’s debut album “Changes” on Concord Records (2018) in collaboration with pianist, arranger, producer and Grammy winner, Laurence Hobgood displays her deep musicality, skilled musicianship, and sophisticated songwriting.
