Asher McGlothlin
Asher McGlothlin is a musician based out of New York City, but proud to be from Grundy, Virginia, a small town located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. Asher grew up playing guitar and singing in the choir at his church on Sundays while also being inspired by the bluegrass and southern rock that played throughout his hometown. All of these genres flow together in his music to create a sonic experience that pays tribute to one of America’s most vibrant music cultures, while taking on a unique life all its own.
Orion Faruque
Orion Faruque is a songwriter and producer based in central Virginia’s Charlottesville. With rhythmic looping guitar riffs, layered productions and direct lyrics delivered in his warm voice, his music is as refreshing as a cold cup of apple juice on a warm summer day. His background ranging from a tree top zipline guide to jazz drummer lends well to his diverse sound and sonic desires in his work as a record producer.
Orion leads the band, Orion and the Melted Crayons, founded in 2018 to develop his musical visions with multi instrumentalists and artists around the globe.
The September 2021 debut album, “The Good Stuff”, can be found at https://linktr.ee/OTMAC and adds a neo-soul, rock and indie sound while still touching on the original Appalachian roots of the project. More information at www.orionandthemeltedcrayons.com
