Bacha Mdzinarashvili
Jazz pianist, composer, and arranger Bacha Mdzinarashvili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia. After graduating from Berklee College of Music where he studied on a full special talent scholarship Bacha wrote, produced and played on his debut solo album The Smile featuring Grammy Award winning artists. He has toured within the US as well as internationally and has performed at the iconic Birdland Jazz Club, Rose Theater, Jazz Lincoln Center, and Black Sea Jazz Festival among other notable jazz venues. He lists Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Charlie Parker and Clifford Brown as his chief inspiration. He will be playing with his new group Jazz Quartet formed by talented and vibrant jazz musicians based in New York: Douglas Marriner on drums, Dan Stein on bass, David Neves on trumpet.
