BigBad

BigBad is the progeny of Kaleta & FROFAYAH, a new Afrobeat/Jazz Fusion project fronted by living NYC legend Kaleta, who cut his teeth touring with the likes of Fela Kuti and King Sunny Adé, among others. This iteration of the project is a dance-forward instrumental quartet comprised of keyboardist Andrew McGowan, saxophonist Noah Dreiblatt, guitarist Yuto Kanazawa and drummer Ilya Dynov. The group’s sound is a happy marriage of afrobeat, funk, jazz fusion, and traditional Nigerian and Beninese influences.
