Bosco Delrey
Bosco Delrey is the moniker of Steven Marian Orenstein, an American multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and purveyor of experimental pop and rock ‘n’ roll. After playing in a slew of garage and psych bands, he tried to prove to a friend that 80’s dancehall and golden era rock ‘n’ roll were similar. Unable to explain the claim in words, he created a cover version of Chuck Berry’s Around and Around. Fader magazine first released the track calling his genre “hillbillyhall.” The producer / DJ Diplo soon heard the song and began working with Bosco on his debut, the Memphis recorded album Everybody Wah. It was released on the Mad Decent imprint in 2011 following two 7inch singles. More recently he recorded his sophomore LP The Green Tiger’s Alibi in Paris, France.
