David Chung, known professionally as Cestari, is an RnB/Jazz pianist, singer, and songwriter based in New York. Born in Buffalo, New York, his diverse love and exposure for music developed in high school where he was inspired by the likes of Kamasi Washington, Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Charles Mingus, and many more. The music that has resulted from this inspiration is as captivating as it is visceral. Cestari plays the piano with a power that simply can’t be ignored, as his turbulent personality pours into a unique sound that reflects on and explores his past experiences; and while doing so, invites his band and audience to use his music as a vessel for their own personal journey.
