Charlie Brennan

Mixing indie pop sound with soulful writing and an electronic influence, Nashville-based singer- songwriter Charlie Brennan is genre bending. His unique catalog and versatility has earned him over 80 million streams globally, and his songs “Let Me Be” and “Cool” reached #11 and #39 on Spotify’s Viral 50 Chart respectively. Now based in Nashville, Charlie now writes for both himself and others, securing cuts with Spencer Crandall, Theo Kandel and more. A self-taught musician who has been writing since the age of 12, Charlie began releasing his own music in high school. In 2015, “The Ocean,” one of his early releases from his debut album “Letters”, was featured in Pepsi’s World Emoji Day campaign. In 2016, Charlie independently released “Let Me Be”, which reached over 2.1M streams
on Spotify. The track is featured on Charlie’s second album “The Last Time”, which has reached over 5M streams. Shortly after the release of the album, Charlie moved to New York City after graduating with a degree in psychology from Wake Forest University.
In New York, Charlie found his rhythm, playing sold out shows at The Bowery Ballroom, Arlene’s Grocery, Pianos and The Delancey. He released a follow up album “ODDS/ENDS” in 2019. Much of the writing on the album was inspired by heartbreak
and the experience of living in New York as a motivated independent artist. Charlie relocated to Nashville in 2020 to pursue his music and writing career. He released an EP “Same Moon” in December of that year, which has reached over 3.1 million streams to date. Changing his sound to be more folk and americana focused, he followed up the EP in May of 2021 with his single “May Flowers” which debuted at #1 on Apple Music’s “Breaking Singer-Songwriter” playlist, and was placed on Spotify’s “Fresh Folk” playlist. “May Flowers” was also honored as the winner in the Folk/Americana Category of the 2022 New England Songwriting Competition. His latest singles, “Moment in Time” and “We Needed Rain” were cowritten with Sean McConnell and had their radio premiere in November 2022 on MVY Radio. All the while, Charlie has been actively touring, selling out Bowery Ballroom for a second time in 2022 while also playing shows in Nashville, Boston and Los Angeles. Brennan released his EP “The History of Everything We Went Through” in March of 2023, featuring songs such as “May Flowers,” “Old War” and “Over The Weekend” featuring Anna Vaus.
