Chris Callahan is a 31 year old indie-folk singer-songwriter currently based out of Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Nashville, he came to New York in 2013 to pursue a career acting with music being nothing more than hobby and personal passion. During his early years in the city and in the perpetual downtime in between acting jobs he finally started writing songs of his own after being particularly inspired by the off beat "jizzy-jazz" style of Mac Demarco and the witty and stylish lyrics of Courtney Barnett . He spent several years playing open mics, honing his craft as a songwriter and playing in bands. His current repertoire is anchored by an acoustic folk sound peppered with alt-country and grunge influences.
