Christy Coco
New York City based artist Christy Coco has never been more herself.
Since she was a kid, she always wanted to be a singer-songwriter, recording her first EP at the age of thirteen in her guitar teacher’s recording studio. Creating music is what makes time slow down for Christy.
The last few years, however, Christy has taken a winding road away from and then back to writing and performing her original music. She made her NYC off-broadway debut, sang in a sold out stadium concert with the Boston Pops, acted in films such as The Purge: Election Year (Universal Pictures) and Woe is Mary (New York Film Festival Audience Choice Award), and started an arts non-profit that develops new musicals written by women, trans, and gender non-conforming artists.
Now, Christy has shed her layers and is back to her deepest passion — creating and sharing music that tells the truth of what it’s like to be alive. She just released her debut single, ‘silverlake’ and is working on her self-titled EP, to be released in late 2022.
