After building their music careers to heights they couldn’t have imagined upon planting their feet in NYC, Clara Lofaro, Shahar Mintz and Uri Kleinman return to their stomping ground Rockwood Music Hall for one last show before leaving the US. Beginning the evening with intimate solo performances and special guest features, the trio also brings us their 9-piece band to transform the event into a party with some upbeat crowd favorites. Lofaro, Mintz and Kleinman thank Rockwood and the incredible community who feeds it for all the years of memories and friendships that have bloomed within the red wooden walls, on and off stage.
Clara Lofaro
With six Toronto Music awards and hundreds of song placements in tv/film under her belt, Clara Lofaro is redefining what it means to be a pop singer and in-demand songwriter. She has performed alongside Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, Kimberly Locke, Jeffrey Gaines, and was the vocalist in the Disney Super Bowl commercial singing "When You Wish Upon a Star" featuring MVP players of the NFL team. Clara’s ability to write hits, both for herself and others, has proven successful again and again. American Idol finalist Erika Van Pelt released four of her songs, Maddy Ziegler won Dance Moms to Clara’s performance of “Send Me A Lifeline”, and shows such as The Voice, The Tonight Show, Young & the Restless, American Idol and many more have used CL tunes as their backdrop. Lofaro's single “Just Smile” was the theme song for Vanity Fair’s four year running “Wipe On A Smile” national commercial campaign, and her follow up single “Born to Love You” hit #21 on Billboard’s Club Play chart. Her latest releases “Safe” and “More Than I Am” EP, released via indie label AntiFragile Music, have garnered her over 180,000 streams on Spotify and a spot in the first round ballot for 3 awards in the 2020 GRAMMYs.
Uri Kleinman
Uri launched his career as a professional musician in Israel, learning how to master different styles from American to African, Brazilian & Eastern European music. By age 15, Uri was garnering a name and working professionally as a bassist and eventually music director/producer with legendary Israeli artists, Idan Raichel, David Broza, Matti Caspi, Shiri Maimon, Boaz Sharabi & many more. This allowed Uri the incredible experience of touring all over the world with artists he loves and grew up on. Reaching the height of his career in Israel brought him to NYC where he continued his production, live playing and music directing with more unforgettable artists like Martha Wash (Everybody Dance Now), Darlene Love & tons of touring & local acts. In 2020 he launched his production project “Mouth Party” and has released a series of Lo-Fi beats, building up to his upcoming 2022 debut EP. He now has over 4000 songs under his belt including platinum records as a session bassist and producer, and 7 first round GRAMMY ballots for his work with artists Clara Lofaro, Shannen Bamford and Olivia Brown.
Shahar Mintz
Born and raised on a Kibbutz, Mintz was a part of the Israeli Funk-Rock scene in the 90’s and the first guitarist of Funk Hip-Hop pioneers: “Hadag Nahash”. Upon landing in NYC, he joined local Funk act Milo-Z for 2 and a half years, touring the east coast and Europe playing alongside bands such as Massive Attack, The Water Boys and Patti Smith. In 2003 Shahar acted as band leader and lead guitar player for Warner Bros. recording artist Lizzie West. The band spent a year on the road touring 45 states, sharing the stage with artists such as Chris Isaac, The Neville Brothers,The Doors, Jesse Harris, Berlin and Twinemen (ex Morphine). He has toured the world extensively with artists such as Pop star Gala, Meta and The Cornerstones, Mahavatar and more. In recent years Mintz has been playing with local bands in various NY venues, and in 2018 he performed at Times Square as part of Israel’s 70th anniversary celebration with Israeli superstar Shiri Maimon.
