Cliff Westfall is a New York-based songwriter whose literate take on classic country has been compared to Dwight Yoakam, Rodney Crowell, and Robbie Fulks. His 2018 album Baby You Win garnered airplay on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country station, DittyTV, and many other outlets, including an "Album of the Month" feature in the UK's Country Music People magazine. An 8th-generation Kentucky native, Westfall combines a deep knowledge of country music history with a rock and roll sensibility to create what he calls "electrified honky tonk."
Duo partner Boo Reiners is a go-to sideman and collaborator for bands and artists across a wide spectrum of genres. He has worked with artists such as his own Demolition String Band, Dispatch, Phil Lesh, Al Kooper, Pete Seeger, Charlie Louvin, Steve Martin, Tony Trischka, Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, Michael Moore, Amy Poehler, Swingadelic, Ronnie Stoneman, Michael Leonhart, Natalie Merchant, Martin Sexton, Daisycutter, Cliff Westfall and others
A few choice words:
Cliff Westfall “just released … a country record that will whip the pants off of most others released this year and many from years prior, and get you making room on your list of favorite artists… You will not be able to get enough of Baby You Win… Saving Country Music, 9/10 review
“In the current country landscape, Cliff Westfall’s music is a refreshing breeze. Drawing influence from the timeless hooks and unmatched wit of artists like Roger Miller and Chuck Berry, Westfall incorporates a dose of old-school know-how into his art. … As it were, some of the most cunning and richly melodic country to grace us in the genre’s contemporary era comes from a singer who hails from the Big Apple.” — PopMatters
