Born Hawaiian, raised Arizonan and now Manhattanite-- singer/songwriter David D’Alessio mixes irresistible hooks and big ideas. D'Alessio blends elements of acoustic pop and electronic flourishes with lush instrumentation. He draws comparisons to his geographic counterparts: the "Jason Mraz of the Southwest", the "plaintive heights of Damien Rice" and "tenor reminiscent of Duncan Sheik." He has also toured extensively- nationally/internationally opening for the best in class : Colby Calliat, Brett Dennon, Missy Higgins, Lifehouse, Over the Rhine, Newton Faulkner and many others.

D’Alessio teamed up with Grammy-nominated hit producer/songwriter Felix McTeigue (Florida Georgia Line, Lori McKenna) and recorded Some Girls (802 Media Group). D’Alessio canvassed and photographed the women of NYC for inspiration and his latest album cover. His songs fall in the realm of singer/songwriter-pop and share tasty bits of their stories: Learning to settle down (“Ghost- The Bachelor’s Curse); nothing broken, nothing gained (“Throw Yourself in Front of It”); good girls put up a good fight (“Good Fight”). The album features performances by Amy Speace (vocals), Alex da Silva (SNL band) and John O'reilly (fun., Rachael Yamagata). In January 2014 D’Alessio was signed to 802 Media Group in Brooklyn New York. Some Girls released Jan 1, 2014 charted in Itunes Pop charts at #68.
