DeShawn Alexander

Born in Denver, Colorado, DeShawn began playing music at the ripe old age of three. By the age of seven he became the organist in his grandparents’  Commerce City-based church. He went on to attend the Berklee College of Music where he formed the hip hop band Viva La Hop. Since then he has shared the stage and toured with many incredible artists in the worlds of jazz, hip hop, blues, rock and funk---including Marcus King, Eric Krasno, Talib Kwalie, Joe Louis Walker, and many more.
