Los Angeles was truly a whole new world for Dylan Conrique. Born to Mexican-Irish descent, the aspiring singer had 23 followers to her Instagram name when she left her hometown of Loomis, California (population 6000), but the now 18-year-old’s radiating warmth and faultless vocals have seen her accrue over one million on Instagram, and three million on TikTok. Inspired by her love for country music’s storytelling and the careers of pop icons Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, her debut EP, Baby Blue, was released in 2020 in lockdown and endorsed by Nylon as “a relatable collection of pop songs." Her latest single Birthday Cake shows a more vulnerable and personal side to her artistry, with the lyrics encouraging her best friend to live life to the fullest after experiencing a tragic loss of her mother. The viral hit has accrued 90 million streams and over 2 billion views on socials. Dylan's new single, "i miss you (skin to skin)” (releasing june 24th) expresses the lingering feelings of an ex and their haunting presence post-relationship.
Delivering anthemic indie-pop/rock tunes drenched in emotion, ADDIE is the musical project of 20 year old singer/songwriter/producer/bassist Adeline Vamenta. “ADDIE’s work as a queer woman of color is a breath of fresh air for queer youth; her catchy indie-pop anthems and lovesick lyrics are a perfect soundtrack for the WLW yearning many of us know so well. - Bella Perreira // WZLY
