Ellajay is an indie alt-pop singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. A familiar face at the likes of Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, and The Bowery Electric, Ellajay draws listeners in with ear-candy hooks and raw, earnest lyrics packaged in a fun indie rock/alt-pop vibe. Ellajay has been writing songs and performing all her life, but finally began releasing music in 2020. Her latest single “And The Award For Best Performance Goes To…”, produced by Adam Tilzer, is a cinematic self-reflection about the lengths one goes to pretend they're fine in a post-breakup situationship when they're really, actually not fine at all... The single and debut music video are out now on all streaming platforms and YouTube!
Russell Jamie Johnson
Russell Jamie Johnson is an American singer songwriter and actor based in New York City. At barely eight years old, during a church service in Linton, Indiana, Russell Johnson discovered his voice for the first time. Soon after, Russell picked up the guitar quickly by watching his brother play. He grew up inspired by the songwriting of The Smiths and Bob Dylan. However, it was following the sudden death of his father in 2009 where Russell’s hobby transformed into a source of healing, freedom, and connection. His passion led him to Boston where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music in 2016. During his time there, he performed and worked with music industry luminaries Chuck Leavell, (Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones), John Oates of Hall & Oates, and jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum.
Since relocating to New York City, Russell met and collaborated with John Barrowman - known for his role as Dark Archer on The CW’s Arrow. He was encouraged to pursue a career as an actor, and specialized in doing his and other actors' stunts in archery and knife throwing. He has performed archery and knife throwing stunts in major motion pictures, television shows, and music videos including 2019’s Robin Hood, the Amazon original series Sneaky Pete, and CBS drama Elementary. Russell also made an appearance in, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.
Fearless and authentic, Russell's music is a heartwarming blend of Folk and Americana. Behind his music and lyrics is the idea that no matter what the world says, your honest emotions are always worth feeling.
