Empire Girl and SpaceMachine

Empire Girl and SpaceMachine was created in New York City during the 2020 pandemic. The band is known for its driving rock energy, soaring atmospheric compositions and melodic vocals. The palpable chemistry between vocalist Renee Kay and guitarist, James Fox can be both heard and felt through the twelve songs that they wrote and recorded together. Vocals bring to mind the emotional fire of Grace Slick expanding upward to the cinematic moods of Kate Bush. Jame's open-tuned guitars (six and twelve strings) bring driving, harmonic-laden feel, with sweeping melodies and starkly powerful hooks.
