WEBSITE

Pop/Folk artist Erene Mastrangeli is an Italian born singer/songwriter. Growing up in Italy, Erene started studying jazz voice, classical guitar and piano at a very young age. During this time she had the chance to perform with some of the best Jazz musicians in Italy. Erene quickly showed prowess when it came to writing her own material and found a love for songwriting.

Eventually Erene moved to New York City when she realized that her songwriting was influenced as much by American music as it was the Italian contemporary songwriters she grew up listening to.

Since moving to NYC Erene has performed at such famed New York venues as the legendary Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, The Living Room, and The Knitting Factory, as well as performing multiple times at the United Nations building. She also travels to Nashville, TN, and to Austin, TX, several times a year to perform at clubs such as Saxon Pub, Threadgill’s, Cactus Café, and Momo’s. In Austin Erene shared the stage with artists such as Patrice Pike, Trish Murphy and Ginger Leigh. In Texas she also collaborated with producer Merel Bregante (Sarah Pierce). Erene was welcomed with open arms in Austin, the so called “capital of live music” where the people were fascinated by her enchanting voice, solid guitar playing and sophisticated songwriting.
