Good Morning Nags
The Good Morning Nags are an Americana and indie-folk band based in New York City. Growing up near pecan trees, red clay, and winding rivers, the Nags bring the front porch to the concrete stoop, mixing Old Crow Medicine Show and the Avett Brothers with a whole lot of city swagger. After initially forming while in college together, they got their official start busking in New York's subways, parks, warehouses, and rooftops, before upgrading to the local clubs and venues, like Rockwood Music Hall, Opry City Stage, and The Cutting Room. In December of 2018 they released their first full-length studio album with producer Erik Samuelson and Three Crown Studio before embarking on their first US tour in 2019. Just before the the Covid shutdown, the Nags released a music video for their song “Hard Hope” and were featured in the March 2020 issue of Relix Magazine, alongside The Wood Brothers and Drive By Truckers. Now with the world opening back up, they’re back on the grind, with plans for more touring and to get back into the studio in 2022.
