Gouri and Aksha
Singer-songwriter-pianist duo from Mumbai treading the thin line between soul and pop.
After a year of writing music and performing together [including opening for Damien Rice at Sofar Bombay, touring Japan and releasing their debut single], Gouri and Aksha are about to play a series of gigs in the US.
They met on the sets of Disney's musical production of Aladdin in India and started writing music together shortly after. Having a shared inclination to vocal harmonies, Gouri's slightly more technical music school sensibilities intertwined with Aksha's intuitive ballad-y writing makes for a unique sonic landscape. They're currently working on launching an EP in 2020.
