Holloway James
A North Carolina Native, Holloway James is inspired by a two hundred year lineage of humble hardworking, optimistic people, trying to do the right thing and many generations who never really got out.
James, after a decade of writing in LA, moved back to the South to create music honestly and authentically.
Holloway James bridges a gap musically between forgotten local culture and the sensationalism of our modern musical landscape. His music tells the story of untamed love, adventure and travel combined with the richness, beauty and depth of a simple life.
Holloway James is a Nashville-based songwriter. His song “Highway” was recently featured in the Emmy Nominated Netflix series, Eastsiders. James past projects include Addison Strong and The Battlefield. He’s toured throughout the US and Canada and shared bills with Phoebe Bridgers, Lukas Nelson and The Promise of the Real, Turnpike Troubadours and more.
