hudson was born in Texas and slightly raised in Southern Africa, before college made Springfield, Missouri his musical/spiritual home. It was in the unpretentious heartland that he first sank his teeth into this long-running bedroom folk project, inspired by fellow midwesterners - Sufjan Stevens and The National.
