Arrow, The Symbol

New Jersey native, "Arrow, The Symbol" formally known as, Felisha George, is a recording artist, performer, lyricist, filmmaker and conjurer of rhythmic color. She fell in love with Hip Hop via cyphers in her grandmother’s project garden in the South Bronx. Her musical essence is a meditation and invitation to release, restore and self liberate. Raised in Maplewood, NJ better known as “MAPSO” the home of many timeless artists, her exposure to the arts was endless. As a lifelong student she would later run for Board of Education twice in her district. Her interest in politics shifted her expressions of music as she ripened her consciousness. Arrow, The Symbol can be described as, “an agent of her own transformation and evolution”, an embodied learner and a woman honoring lineage. Through performance, her lyricism and creativity are brought forth on stage. She’s been given opportunities to perform at SOB’s, The Shrine in Harlem, Sofar Sounds, Microsoft Headquarters, WeWork and much more; She’s toured with Roxanne Shante on her Positive Music Matters Festival in Newark NJ, appeared on BET’s Freestyle Friday, and Netflix’s original Hip Hop competition show “Rhythm and Flow”. In 2019 she dropped her first album “Wash Your Soul”, a harmonious journey and story told through the expression of rage, freedom and joy in the black body. Arrow, The Symbol is a word magician, creating allusive duality and soulful flows, a pure rooted story teller.
