John Platt's On Your Radar

October 10th, 2023 7pm   Stage 2

Pat Wictor & Deborah Latz

Pat Wictor and Deborah Latz first met at an improvisational singing workshop led by Bobby McFerrin, and their musical collaboration is all about spontaneity and surprise. Based in Brooklyn, NY but coming from different musical realms - he from the acoustic singer-songwriter world, she from the jazz and performance art scenes - they meet over their shared love of melody, poetry, and possibility. Together they have created a modern folk-jazz vocal duo that showcases tight harmonies and playful improvisation.

Claudia Nygaard

Claudia Nygaard is a former Music Row staff songwriter who writes songs with a daredevil’s vulnerability and zero self-censorship, then delivers them with an amber honey voice. A winner of many songwriting awards including the Kerrville Folk Festival “New Folk” Songwriting competition, and the Tumbleweed Music Festival Songwriting competition, her latest album “Lucky Girl” climbed to #3 on the Folk Alliance Radio Chart. Claudia’s new children’s musical makes its debut at a Massachusetts theater October 7-8.

Nina de Vitry

To listen to Nina de Vitry is to take a deep breath at the end of a hard day. Weaving together the strands of her stories with a dynamic alto voice and memorable melodies, she captivates audiences with a unique blend of Americana and Jazz. She released her debut full-length album, “What You Feel Is Real,” on August 25th, 2023, and soon after, won international songwriting acclaim with two of the album's songs in the John Lennon International Songwriting contest.
