John William Watkins

John William Watkins is an Iowa-based singer-songwriter who has garnered a following for the daring, whimsicality and candidness of his poetic writing and the captivating poignancy of his folksy-cabaret performance. JWW accompanies himself on acoustic guitar and ukulele and is often backed by Chris Van Voorst on bass, Idan Morim on Guitar and Evan Schwam on Sax & flute. Watkins has been writing since he came out in the early nineties and with a confessional quirk, continues to scratch out his life into songs about sex, love, death, addiction, self-loathing, recovery and animals.
