Jon L Smith

Jon Smith (born in New York City and currently residing in Philadelphia) is a Grammy-award winning bassist and producer who’s worked with Jazmine Sullivan, Ravi Coltrane, Steve McKie and Keyon Harrold among many others. He is currently endorsed by Ken Smith Basses LTD., Epifani amps and Jim Dunlop. Smith's 2021 project “Yermo” is a sonic masterpiece exploring the many nuances of r&b with experimental electronic elements and features Elena Pinderhughes, underground sensation Simon Martinez (Flanafi) and Corey Bernhard (The Late Show band). In 2014, he was featured on The Today Show alongside Birdy. In the summer of 2022, he was invited by DJ Jazzy Jeff to record in his studio alongside James Poyser (The Roots). Smith has carved out a sound all his own and is truly pushing the boundaries of music as a whole.
