Dreams can alter our lives indefinitely and it was her mother’s odd dream, which repeated “Kaylyn has long fingers; she should play guitar,” that nudged Marie into the world of music. Performing for over 15 years, the east coast based singer-songwriter has a wealth of performing experiences from successful cross-country tours, sold-out shows, New York artist residencies, a golden ticket on American Idol, and even a moment in a Steven Spielberg film. Her solo music has been described as “soulful americana”, echoing vocal traits of Sara Bareilles and Laura Marling. Her band project “The Wildlings” possesses a vintage pop feel with bits of blues, jabs of jazz, and snippets of swing. Think Ella Mae Morse but, even sassier. Kaylyn just released her second solo EP “Forget Me Not” which led Nexus Music Blog to deem Kaylyn “reminiscent of Joni Mitchell”. She is currently in the process of earning her Master’s in Music Therapy and Counseling while prepping her third solo record.
