kingkween
Indie alt-rock group kingkween is known to deliver high octane, unforgettable live performances that push musical and emotional boundaries. Following several years of successfully touring their first album, “Wild One,” the band’s much awaited EP "Future Past"* was released 07/05/2019 to a sold out crowd at NYC’s Bowery Electric. They followed this release with live shows at some of NYC’s most iconic venues, including Gramercy Theatre, The Bowery Ballroom, The Bitter End, Knitting Factory, and many more. Upon its release, “Future Past” was licensed for sync use by over 15 mainstream television programs across networks such as Discovery, the Oprah Winfrey Network, E! Network, and MTV. In 2020, the group was slated to release their new single, and fully booked for a year of touring when Covid19 brought the world to a screeching halt. They took their time in quarantine to grow in their personal lives, relocating and rebuilding their studio in upstate New York as their families grew.
As the world reopens, they are thrilled to make their return to the stage, where they feel the most at home.
The Civil Service
The Civil Service was formed in 2014 in Greenpoint Brooklyn, changing members and evolving into the powerful four piece that can be seen live today. Drawing upon the vast rock canon, The Civil Service arrive at a new interpretation. While one may hear echoes of the past, The Civil Service presents their own fresh take on the anthemic. Their latest December 2021 release, Opulent Sky, following two EP’s (Some Great Illusion and Page Turner/Memory Burner) is simultaneously driving yet melodic. It is clear that Opulent Skies are both a promise and a reflection of that often longed for dream, that may often be elusive but nevertheless worth aiming for.
