Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith is a fingerstyle guitarist originally hailing from Humboldt County, California currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. Kyle’s music is rooted in the “American Primitive” tradition, drawing inspiration from the John Fahey/Takoma Records scene. Kyle pulls from his formative years of obsession over Sixties Pop Rock to create melodic instrumentals reminiscent of The Beatles, The Zombies, and The Kinks.

Kyle’s debut solo release, a six-track EP entitled “Reflections on Life, Sin, and the True Way” marries surreal ambience with strong melodic sensibility in a manner evocative of both times passed and times to come.
