Leah Harris is a Canadian singer-songwriter inspired by the sounds of Ray Charles, Whitney Houston, Jeff Buckley, and Aaliyah. Leah combines Motown/Soul vocals and bluesy piano licks with a dark, yet playful songwriting style.

Raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada (border city to Detroit), Leah grew up in a musical family. Guided by the Celtic and Classical influences of her Irish mother and Country songwriting lessons from her father, she recorded her first album of original music at age 9. By age 15, she was performing weekly in local venues.

In 2008, Leah moved to Boston to study Piano Performance at Berklee College of Music. There she met producer Adam Rhodes, who produced Leah’s first EP “I Don’t Believe in Love,” released in 2014.

Leah moved to Sweden in 2015 to join the Stockholm music scene, before relocating to Helsinki, Finland, where she joined the startup world as a member of the Yousician team. Leah was hired to design the ‘Yousician Piano’ from scratch, which became the world's most popular piano learning app used by over one million students. The experience of working with an innovative, forward-thinking startup reshaped Leah's view of the music business and inspired her to embrace and support the journey of independent artists.

Leah moved to Dublin in February 2017 to focus on songwriting, before embarking on a year-long independent European tour of 13 countries. Powered by remote tech work during the days, Leah combined her love for tech with the touring musician lifestyle and documented her entrepreneurial journey - a story which gained her over 100k online followers in less than a year.

Leah moved to New York City in May 2018, where she is now preparing to release a brand new album. Recorded at Brooklyn's Systems Two Studios and produced again by Adam Rhodes, the latest tracks combine soulful piano-driven grooves with raw, dynamic vocals and Leah’s usual dark sense of humor.

Leah performs regular in NYC at venues such as Club Groove, Rockwood Music Hall, and Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar. Stay tuned for new show announcements and updates on the album release!
