Songwriter Leche Malo has made a lot of mistakes. The ensuing music, once described in the blog-o-sphere as “sadcore”, dances at the edge of picking apart those mistakes and celebrating them. With a juxtaposition of it-hurts-so-good lyrical content and raucous strumming it’s difficult to predict exactly what you’ll be expected to feel at any given moment of their show but safe to assume you’ll indeed be feeling it. With an album’s worth of singles under their belt out on all streaming platforms, Leche Malo has uprooted from their coastal California hometown to replant in Brooklyn, New York. What happens next is anyone’s guess.
