Jersey-based singer-songwriter Lindsay Masterson released her debut EP "I'll Admit" on May 27th. The EP takes its name from the vulnerability and introspectiveness of the project. The first song warns the listeners: "Here's my music, it holds my secrets if you listen close." In the three singles leading up to the EP, Lindsay sings a letter to her younger self in "Hey, Old Friend," apologizes for not loving herself sooner in "Forgive Me," and gets into the struggles of creating music in "No One Told Me."
Lindsay seeks to defy the boundaries of genre in her work. Finding her passion for music through performance, she has traveled the country singing cover songs at venues and festivals. Since then, she has ventured into original music, taking inspiration from artists like Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, and Ms. Lauryn Hill.
