Liz Rabson and the Sarahs

Liz Rabson and the Sarahs met at jam sessions at Porchstomp and around Brooklyn. They found they share a love of bawdy early blues and jazz. Liz Rabson (Uke) is the daughter of acclaimed blues woman Ann Rabson, from Virginia but has lived in Brooklyn for twenty-six years. She is a multi-instrumentalist, these days primarily playing the ukulele. She performs with various local bands, co-organizes the Brooklyn Ukes jam at the Jalopy Theatre, is the music organizer at the Gowanus Canal Dredgers Canoe Club Boathouse and is active in the Brooklyn ukulele, folk, and roots music scene. Sarah Gancher (Fiddle) is a playwright and fiddle player who grew up playing early jazz in Oakland, California. Sarah Klein (Upright Bass) is an avid knitter, aspiring gardener, and upright bass player. Originally from Florida, she's currently based in Brooklyn, where she hopes to one day find a parking spot.
