Lynda DeFuria
Lynda DeFuria is a Jersey born, Las Vegas raised, New York based singer, award-winning songwriter, and actress.
DeFuria has moved through a career both in music and in the theatre. She has performed at Lincoln Center, The Sydney Opera House, on national TV's “Showtime at the Apollo,” national tours, New York’s The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall, and was most recently seen as Pat in the Off-Broadway company of the Tony award-winning musical, "Kinky Boots.”
With influences like Sara Bareilles and Kelly Clarkson to the The Carpenters and Maggie Rogers to Broadway musical theatre, Lynda’s powerhouse vocals lead her heartfelt storytelling. DeFuria's song “Where You Stand” from her debut EP, “Alive’” was awarded 1st place in BMI’s John Lennon Songwriting Competition. Her catalogue includes 2013’s album “Ticking Clocks,” the ethereal and driving “The Finish Line,” the emotional mental health anthemic ballad, “Heavy” and the rainbow pop bop “Something To Do with Love” which was featured on Netflix’s “TwentySomethings: Austin.”
DeFuria’s 2002 EP, “Keeping Time,” is an exploration of healing, self-worth, & growing through experience on your own time, in your own time. Her music is available everywhere music is heard.
