Marina Gusel

Born in Moscow and raised in NYC, Marina Gusel is a wonderfully talented singer/songwriter who is also a mother, and a science educator at City-As-School, with over 15 years experience in the classroom. She sees science and math as tools for creativity and believes that objective observation is an essential component to good songwriting. Her music is filled with searing emotion, pathos and brutal honesty. As an immigrant and single mother, much of her lyrics wrestle with themes of identity, acceptance, and being on the outside looking in. After almost four decades as a performer, Marina is now stepping into the spotlight by performing her original music, recording it and collaborating all over New York City.
