Mary Scholz’s stunning voice and evocative songwriting have made her a live circuit favorite for over a decade. The Philadelphia native has toured internationally, forging a personal connection with her audience every time she takes the stage. Today, the artist is based in Los Angeles, where her unique brand of gritty folk-charm has continued to open doors and connect her with audiences all over the world.

Much of Scholz’s material considers how transitions color the human experience, as well as the side effects of love and loss. Her upcoming record, Begin Again, produced by Jonathan Wilson, paints a panoramic, starry landscape of these themes and more, from how we process life internally, to how we respond as a community. Tracked at Wilson’s studio in Topanga Canyon, the record was mixed by Dave Cerminara, mastered by Emily Lazar & Chris Allgood, and is set for a July 22nd release.

Lonesome, Mary's 2021 EP, has been climbing the Americana radio charts, both for its toe-tapping title track, and the album itself. She also recently collaborated with Blue Élan Records to release “While We’re Still Young,” a duet with Taylor John Williams, as a part of My Friend: A Tribute to Rusty Young, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard Compilation Chart.
Known for her profound stories of womanhood that are at once personal and utterly universal, her 2019 release, “The Mother Song: Wild Womxn,” strikes a chord with its direct, yet poetic lyrics, and raw acoustic presentation. It mirrors themes found on her 2017 folk-forward LP, California, and her 2014 LP, The Girl You Thought You Knew.

To date, Mary has eight studio releases and various singles available on all major platforms, with upcoming tours throughout the US and Europe. Though her music has shapeshifted through the years, she continues to espouse the same message of love, hope, and personal empowerment.
