Meera Desai

Meera is a jazz vocalist, based in Ahmedabad, India. She was born and raised in New York, where she studied jazz, western classical and hindustani classical music. Her time is divided between writing music, touring with her band, The Meera Desai Quartet, studying Hindustani classical music from her guru, Shri Vikas Parikh, and recording and releasing new music. She is also a vocal instructor with the Goa Jazz Academy and a sessions vocalist with Compass Box Studio.
