Metropolitan Horn Authority

Since its founding in 2017, Metropolitan Horn Authority has become the premier contemporary horn ensemble of New York City. MHA combines elements of classical, jazz, and pop to create a unique musical experience for a variety of audiences. In partnership with The Chelsea Symphony, MHA played a number of outreach concerts to those at Rikers Island. Since then Metropolitan Horn Authority has become a Music Under New York ensemble and developed educational programs with organizations like Mozart for Munchkins, the Yonkers Philharmonic, and New York public schools.

In the past year Metropolitan Horn Authority has moved their concerts outside to venues such as public parks and the Gowanus Canal, where they performed on canoes in partnership with the Gowanus Dredgers for their “Boat for the Vote” event. Audiences have been enthusiastic and appreciative of MHA’s continued performances, unique videos, and uplifting spirit.
