Nat Osborn Band is an international touring act based in Brooklyn, New York.  Osborn “writes smart, punchy tunes that blend old-school Gershwin-era songcraft with decidedly modern sensibilities” (Popdose). The band around him is comprised of some of the best musicians New York has to offer, each of whom bring their own unique voice to Osborn’s inventive songs.

Nat Osborn was born and lives in New York City. The city’s relentless energy is in his blood and in his music, something he carries with him regardless of whatever part of the world he’s performing in. Nat’s style is, like New York, an eclectic mix of influences. A heap of soul and strong doses of funk, jazz, and indie-rock are blended into an exciting and vibrant original sound.  Joining Nat on tour this summer are long-time collaborators Dustin Carlson on guitar, Will Haywood-Smith on drums, and Reuben Cainer on bass guitar.  Horn virtuosos Bruce Harris, Matt Garrison, and Dan Linden round out the seven-piece powerhouse ensemble.

Formed in 2012, Nat Osborn Band released their debut album, The King and The Clown, in April 2013 to a sold out crowd at the famous venue Le Poisson Rouge in New York. Following the release, the band toured tirelessly playing over two hundred concerts a year between the United States and Europe. The band has been a feature of Jazz and Pop festivals on both sides of the Atlantic and been featured on television in eight different countries, all while operating as a hard-working independent act.

In 2015, Nat Osborn Band released a three song EP on legendary Philadelphia based label Rope-A-Dope and continued to tour in Europe and the USA.

In 2018 the band put out a two song single, featuring the songs Drifting and fan favorite “Roam”.  The band went on to headline festivals in Europe that summer including the Trieste Jazz Festival in Italy and the Bohemia Jazz Festival in Czech Republic.

N.O.B. serendipitously shot and recorded the entirety of their February 5th concert at Rockwood Music Hall, a show that was supposed to precede a summer of concerts but ended up being their last show before the pandemic, and as such a document of that era of the band.  That entire show is up on YouTube and for purchase at  https://natosbornband.bandcamp.com.
