Nene O
Nene O has over 30 years of professional performing experience.
From NYC to London, she has performed (as Janene Otten) as a solo musician
and as a choral singer. Her time with the Dessoff Choirs was marked by
incredible performances with world-renowned pianist and conductor
Vladimir Ashkenazy at Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall’s Music for Life

Beethoven for the Indus Valley, a benefit concert of Beethoven's
monumental Ninth Symphony, organized and led by Singapore-born Indian
conductor George Mathew and as a member of the traveling U.S. chamber
choir for Sir Ray Davies’ Kinks Choral Album tours, including his
appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. She has also
performed extensively as a solo musician, performing her original songs,
cabaret and Irish music. She honed her songwriting skills throughout the
course of those very fruitful years of performing.
Perpetual Epiphany is her very first EP consisting of all original songs.
Produced by famed Bass player and global humanitarian Bakithi Kumalo
(Paul Simon’s Graceland), her worldly storytelling comes alive. It features
Kumalo on Bass and hand-picked session players. Her first EP, Joined
Together (2006) featured her diversity as a vocalist, covering songs by Joni
Mitchell, Alison Moyet, Cyndi Lauper among other great songwriters. Her
next effort, The Sound of Psychos (2009), offered her fans Irish and Celtic
Traditional melodies on vocals and guitar.
