Celebrating Rockwood Music Hall’s 15-Year Anniversary!
Newcomers Club was founded by John Roach and Geoff Lynn. Raised outside of Boston on old folk music and Dad’s radio, they moved to New York after finishing school to start a band. They performed as a duo for a year and a half, writing songs and working on their harmonies. They were lucky enough to find a circle of pretty amazing musicians over the years and, in a wild time-warp turn of events, Newcomers Club has become a powerhouse seven-piece band. With a focus on compelling vocal arrangements, they'll bring you to tears with heartache harmonies and get you moving with rocking refrains. And every now and then, they'll scale it back down to it's roots to remember the point of it all - to sing together as friends, same as when we were kids.
Newcomers Club draws from the old greats - Fleetwood Mac, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and Paul Simon to name a few - and blends their influences into a unique, contemporary sound. Their debut album, "Newcomers Club," was released on November 2nd, 2018, and they're working on new material to be released in 2020!
