Nic Marco

I'm Nic, a Brooklyn-born, Long Island-raised, back-to-Brooklyn-again singer-songwriter and pianist. My music has been described as post-modern dad rock, although it sometimes defies genre, infusing piano-centered indie pop with elements of oldies, neo-soul, and even showtunes.

I draw musical inspiration from all over: The Beach Boys, Parliament-Funkadelic, St. Vincent, Rush, Elton John, Kendrick Lamar, Prince, The Beatles, Weezer, Todd Rundgren, Anderson .Paak...If a song has interesting chords, meaningful lyrics, rich vocal harmonies, and/or makes me feel like dancing, I'm in.

When I'm not making or listening to music, I enjoy gardening, exploring craft breweries, and playing grand strategy video games. I spend my weekdays working in public relations.
