Peter Wise
Peter Wise is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based out of Brooklyn, New York. His sound marries introspective lyricism with bluesy guitar lines, laid back rhythms, anthemic hooks, and soulful vocals. It is both familiar and distinct, combining his love for the early seventies, southern California sounds of Joni Mitchell and The Eagles, with the funk grooves of Earth Wind & Fire and D’angelo, with the pop/rock stylings of John Mayer and Coldplay, creating a style uniquely his own. His music has been featured in such notable press outlets as Wonderland Magazine, Earmilk and American Songwriter Magazine, and has garnered hundreds of thousands of streams on digital streaming platforms.
Wise grew up playing classical guitar and piano, before finding a love for classic rock music in middle school. In high school, Wise focused specifically on jazz music and the guitar. However, his love of singing and songwriting always persisted. Upon moving to New York City as a college student, he decided to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. Mentored by award winning songwriter Phil Galdston (Save The Best For Last) and the late Glenn Frey of The Eagles, Wise began making a name for himself in New York City as a live performer and recording artist.
After touring all over the country in 2019, Wise spent 2020 self-producing a six song EP, Too Blind To Hear, with lead singles Fruits and Towering Over Me receiving love from press outlets and Spotify playlists all over the world. Wise continued in 2021 with two singles, Window Dressing and Neutral, both accompanied by music videos. These received fantastic worldwide response, including features in Rolling Stone, Metal Magazine, and Wonderland Magazine, as well as his first television appearance on More Fox 5, Las Vegas and first radio appearance on Idobi Radio’s The Brett Davern Show.
Wise now returns with his first single of 2022, Stirred But Never Shaken. This tour-de-force pop/rock triumph details the frustrations with a relationship that appears great on paper but doesn’t lead to long lasting fulfillment. As Wise states, “Stirred But Never Shaken is the inability to fully commit to someone else, you’re ‘stirred’ to make an effort on the surface, but you’re never ‘shaken’ to fundamentally change in order to let someone into your life or make the concerted effort to be a part of someone else’s life.” Self-produced, Stirred But Never Shaken showcases Wise’s abilities as a powerhouse singer, lyricist and guitarist. The hard-hitting drums, bass and churning guitar highlight a sinking realization of being in a failing relationship. It is the lead single of an eleven song project which Wise will be releasing throughout the year. Wise will also be hitting the road this spring and summer, embarking on a national tour with dates to be announced soon. Stay tuned!
Plane Station
Plane Station is a singer songwriter duo comprised of siblings Nick and Brianna Chiapparino. Their sound, honed through years of live performance, is built on harmony, memorable melodies and a collaborative approach to songwriting. Nick and Brianna grew up in the Hudson Valley, New York and began singing together in High School. The duo has fronted many bands spanning a wide variety of genres but with Plane Station are for the first time focused on keeping their unique connection front and center. Their music, often driven by either Nick’s acoustic guitar or Brianna’s piano playing, weaves seamlessly through the intimate and the grandiose, whispered lines over a finger picked guitar often give way to soaring harmonies over swelling instrumentation. This is never more evident than in their sprawling live performances, which regularly feature drummer and studio engineer Jesse Melito. Their first album, The Other Side, finds the duo exploring themes of love, change and loss in a stripped down, predominantly acoustic setting. On 7th Street, Plane Station’s second full length LP, Nick and Brianna stretch their folk sound, taking full of advantage of a more vast sonic landscape while staying true to their singer songwriter roots.
