Rini

Leading an international cadre of musicians, New York based, Chennai born singer, composer and violinist Harini “Rini” Raghavan draws from her formal training in South Indian Classical music and work at Berklee College of Music in Electronic Production to bring together sounds and music of her birthplace in India and her home in the US. An experienced performer and recording artist, she has recorded and performed with Grammy winning artists A.R.Rahman, Bill Whelan, Rodney Holmes, Gil Goldstein and Idan Raichel, headlining prestigious festivals and venues in US, Europe and India, including Boston Symphony Hall, Lincoln Center, Beacon Theatre and the UN General Assembly.

"Rini, a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, started off with her 2016 EP Kural and has gone on to release four more records, including Alone In the Blue EP in 2016, Maya in 2017 and Echoes of the Ghats in 2020, arriving at a powerful contemporary Carnatic/electronic fusion sound." -  Rolling Stone India

“Rini, a.k.a. Harini Raghavan, is one of New York’s great talents in Indian classical and film music. She’s as dynamic and expressive a Bollywood singer as she is a carnatic violinist. Yet her most exciting project is her own epic, sweeping Indian-flavored art-rock band, also called Rini.”  - New York Music Daily
