Rory D’Lasnow returns to Rockwood 2 for his single release/birthday show. He will be joined by his friends NYC's Softcrush and Greer Baxter as well as Philadelphia’s Cuddledrug.

Heralded as a “golden-voiced troubadour” and one of the “32 N.J. bands and artists you need to hear in 2022” by NJ.com, Rory D’Lasnow picked up his late father’s guitar upside-down and backwards at the age of six. Despite never turning his guitar right-side up, Rory’s unique contemplative sound has propelled him on to perform at some of the nation’s most distinguished venues and festivals from Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall in New York, Hotel Cafe and The Viper Room in Los Angeles, and The Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival in his home state of New Jersey.

His penchant for evocative and vulnerable storytelling has earned him international radio airplay, opening slots for The Early November, Knuckle Puck, American Idol Winner Lee DeWyze, Actor/Musician Drake Bell, and John Corabi of Mötley Crüe/The Dead Daisies, and has garnered praise from the likes of American Songwriter, Atwood Magazine, and Rolling Stone India.

SOFT CRUSH/ GREER BAXTER

Cuddledrug is a queer rock band in Philadelphia focused on mental health advocacy. Three strikes and you are NOT out. Love everyone, & take care of each other. www.cuddledrug.com cuddledrug was formed in 2010 as a side project of Ticket To Ride band which is still active after 15 years (check them out). The name refers to the neurotransmitter oxytocin which is is released in the brain when you care a lot about other people. The mission of the band has always had that central message. The first album released in 2011 was a breast cancer benefit. The first real show took place in an apartment in Wilkes-Barre in 2016 alongside friends Born Without Bones & Corey of La Dispute. Later that year, a massive self-produced album was released in the US, Canada, & Europe, all proceeds donated to the Women's Domestic Violence Centers of NEPA. The band moved to Philadelphia in 2017 and continued releasing albums aimed at benefitting various organizations, including but not limited to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Addiction Recovery Access via the Gift of Hope Fund, Reproductive Rights Protection via Planned Parenthood, the Ronald McDonald House, CEO Weinberg Food Bank, Ruth's Place Shelter, Autism Speaks, UNICEF, Janet Weis Children's Hospital, CHOP, Toys for Tots, and many more queer youth defense and community mutual aid organizations.
