Ross Newhouse
Storytelling is the cornerstone of New Jersey native Ross Newhouse's writing, as illustrated by anecdotal verses and tongue-in-cheek opening hooks. His music is transportative, his lyrics championed by production that sonically paints the worlds he narrates, evoking the sense of belonging that comes solely from fearless specificity.
In his live shows, Ross channels artists like Nick Thune, sarcastically recounting the stories behind each song with prose and punchlines. Audiences share both moments of laughter and moments of reflection as Ross weaves humor with heart.
With comparisons made to New Jersey contemporaries like Adam Melchor and Pinegrove, Ross was named one of NJ.com's "Artists You Need to Hear in 2022." Ross put out his first EP ("Suddenly I Demand Repair") in May of 2021 and looks forward to releasing his first album in 2022.
