Sam Towse

[ human music ] is a electric fusion group featuring Sam Towse (keys), Michael Hilgendorf (guitar), Rafael Enciso (bass), and Ian Wacksman (drums). Inspired by the works of Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis of the early 70s, as well as the electric ventures of Aaron Parks, Justin Brown, and Brad Mehldau, this band strives to create atmosphere through effects and collective improvisation, always making sure that the groove is paramount. Formed in early 2020, this ensemble has performed around NYC, filling venues with its unique mix of rhythm, harmony, and texture.
